  • Mold, UK, Rating: 2 of 5, Date of Stay: August 2008

Mt wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a trip to Havana. The room was spacious, reasonably furnished although it had a musky, damp smell to it. The shower, despite our best efforts, dripped for the duration of our stay and by 3am had become almost torturous. The evening buffet meal resulted in a 30 minute queue for a vacant table and once in the food, even by Cuban standards, was terrible. The following morning's breakfast was easier as we managed to get seated immediately but then had a five minute wait for fruit juice glasses, a further 10 minute wait for cutlery and another five minute wait for coffee cups, one of which arrived dirty.
All in all a poor experience despite the best efforts of the hard-pressed, seemingly ever cheerful, staff.
